Summary

A previously unknown manuscript, OR. 2545, preserved at the Bulgarian National Library, offers invaluable insights into the chronological history of Zabid and Yemen up to 1562. The manuscript contains three works by the Yemeni scholar Ibn al-Daybaʿ (d. 1537), detailing the governance and historical events of Zabid during the Ottoman period. Notably, it includes two previously unknown urǧūza-s, which were added by the scribe in 969/1561–1562. This discovery enriches our understanding of Yemeni history and provides a rare glimpse into the cultural and political landscape of the region during this period.
