Summary
Jingdezhen's ceramic craftsmanship, a 2,000-year-old tradition and UNESCO-recognized intangible cultural heritage (ICH), faces challenges such as an aging workforce and limited contemporary relevance. This study identifies digital technology as a transformative tool for preserving and revitalizing this heritage, proposing a three-dimensional framework for its protection, communication, and innovation. By analyzing current gaps in digital adaptation—such as inefficient knowledge transfer and restricted transformation of tacit skills—the research outlines strategies to enhance the sustainability of Jingdezhen's ceramic techniques. These include leveraging digital platforms for broader dissemination, bridging traditional and modern practices, and improving inheritance efficiency through technological integration.
