Prague Semmering. Contribution to the history of the Prague railway network

The Prague Semmering, part of the Buštěhrad Railway (1870–1872), is recognized for its architectural and landscape significance, featuring iconic viaducts like those over the Hlubočepské Valley and other preserved structures. This study evaluates its historical, technical, and architectural qualities, serving as a foundation for potential UNESCO World Heritage designation. However, original buildings in the Smíchov railway area face demolition, threatening their authenticity. The research combines historical analysis with technical assessment to document this heritage's value, emphasizing its contribution to Prague’s railway history.
