Summary
A study of the riparian forest galleries in Comoé National Park, Ivory Coast, identified 78 tree species across four ponds, with the buffalo pond exhibiting the highest diversity. Key dominant species included Diospyros mespiliformis (25.89%), Mitragyna inermis (17.11%), and Khaya senegalensis (12.27%). The Fabaceae and Rubiaceae families were most represented, highlighting the ecological significance of these microhabitats. The research used surface survey and roving inventory methods to assess species richness, contributing valuable data for the conservation and management of these unique biomes.
