Summary
A significant shift in the design and composition of chant monastic manuscripts is documented, marking a transition from kryuki notation to linear notation in the Trinity Sergius Lavra library during the late 17th to 19th centuries. This study introduces new scientific findings by analyzing manuscript sources from the Russian State Library, revealing changes in both the visual representation and the repertoire of chants preserved in the monastery's collection. The research highlights how these modifications reflect broader trends in monastic chant notation while contributing fresh insights into the evolution of liturgical manuscripts.
