Summary
A proposed nomenclature for Inca roads, based on originality and continuity of use, has emerged from the Qhapaq Ñan-Perú Project's decade-long research and registration efforts. This initiative, spanning 2003 to 2017, aimed to document the extensive Inca road network in Peru, contributing to its conservation and social utilization. The project's fieldwork stages and encountered challenges led to the development of new definitions and data collection techniques, including innovative registration tools. These advancements seek to enhance the understanding of the current state of this historic road system.
