Summary
A study on the Historic Mosque City of Bagerhat reveals that non-climatic human-induced factors pose significant threats to its conservation. Key issues identified include weak land-use policies, inadequate tourism management, poor implementation of land laws, and low social awareness. The research employed a site survey, qualitative analysis, and the Driver-pressure-state-impact-response (DPSIR) framework to systematically assess these vulnerabilities. These findings underscore the urgent need for targeted interventions to safeguard this unique cultural heritage, which is the only known example of the 'Khan-e-Jahan style.'
