Summary
A successful reconstruction and modernization of the Studenica Monastery Library in Serbia has established it as a model for preserving cultural heritage, demonstrating effective practices that can be replicated by other monasteries. The project, led by librarians from the University Library in Kragujevac, involved cataloging library materials electronically and addressing historical aspects of monastery libraries' development. This work highlights the significance of conserving such collections for advancing research in philology, history, archaeology, and theology while promoting literacy and cultural preservation among the Serbian people. The digitization efforts not only safeguard fragile manuscripts but also provide valuable resources for scientists, ensuring long-term accessibility and scholarly engagement.
