Archaeological Heritage Management at the Memphis and its Necropolis World Heritage Site

Archaeological heritage management at the Memphis and its Necropolis World Heritage Site faces significant challenges, including partial implementation of the site's management plan due to financial constraints. A case study using structured questionnaires revealed limited strategies for boosting visitor numbers and a need for better resource allocation. Centralized management requires restructuring, with recommendations for developing an integrated management plan and potentially creating a dedicated entity to oversee the site. Enhancing visitor understanding and experience also emerges as a critical area for improvement.
