Summary

A user evaluation study at the Royal Alcázar in Seville revealed that while individual technical features of a fully autonomous tour guide robot, FROG, may function flawlessly in controlled settings, they can fail to integrate smoothly when deployed in real-world scenarios. This is due to unpredictable interactions from visitors, highlighting the challenges of deploying advanced social robots in dynamic environments. The study involved both invited and spontaneous visitors who provided feedback on their experiences and attitudes toward FROG's autonomous guidance system.
