Summary

Researchers have discovered a new species of Anaulacomera, A. trispinata, within the poculigera group, marking the first record of this group in Brazil and the Atlantic Forest domain. The species was identified from Iguaçu National Park, a significant remnant of the Atlantic Forest in southern Brazil. The study provides detailed morphological descriptions of both male and female specimens, along with analyses of the males' calling songs. This discovery contributes to our understanding of biodiversity within UNESCO World Heritage Sites and highlights the importance of such regions for scientific research.
