Summary
A comprehensive strategy for integrating the gastronomic periphery of Colombia's UNESCO-listed Coffee Cultural Landscape (CCCL) into territorial tourism development has been proposed. This approach aims to enhance tourism in municipalities along the Armenia-Manizales route by leveraging local culinary traditions, craftsmanship, and agriculture, which have been underutilized despite the region's international recognition for coffee production. The study employs a comparative analysis of tourism and territorial development concepts, a detailed inventory of tourist resources, and a unique gastronomic route proposal to assess feasibility. By fostering sustainable growth through culinary tourism, this strategy seeks to deepen appreciation and preservation of local gastronomy while boosting economic activities in the CCCL periphery.
