Summary
A comprehensive framework for constructing heritage corridors has been developed, integrating spatial analysis techniques to guide the preservation and sustainable development of linear cultural landscapes. This study introduces a systematic approach that combines minimum cumulative resistance (MCR) modeling, spatial syntax analysis, and kernel density classification to determine corridor site selection, hierarchy levels, and types. The framework provides scientific guidance for balancing conservation with tourism, addressing gaps in existing research by offering a structured system for heritage corridor construction. The application of these methods to the Shu Road in China demonstrates their effectiveness in preserving both natural environments and cultural heritage along historic routes.
