Summary
Only half of the geotourism offerings in the Swiss Alps Jungfrau-Aletsch UNESCO World Heritage Site successfully convey the scientific value of its geomorphological features, despite their potential to go beyond mere aesthetic appeal. This study analyzed 33 mediation approaches using a multicriteria framework, revealing that while some effectively highlight the site's patrimonial significance, others fail to connect visitors with its scientific and cultural heritage. The research underscores the importance of intentional design in geotourism to ensure both educational engagement and preservation awareness.
