Summary
Traditional bazaars, such as the Tabriz Historic Bazaar Complex and Istanbul Kapali Charshi, serve as vital nodes in urban life and trade networks, particularly along the Silk Road. This study reveals that their architecture reflects dynamic identities shaped by historical, social, and geographical factors. The research employed a descriptive-analytical approach, combining library and field studies to dissect spatial formations, architectural features, and socio-physical relationships in these commercial hubs. By analyzing graphs, tables, and detailed spatial data, the authors highlight how bazaars have adapted while preserving their core functions, leaving enduring legacies on global trade routes.
