Summary

Metaverse technologies offer a transformative approach to revitalizing Silk Road cultural heritage, addressing contemporary challenges such as preservation and geopolitical barriers. This study demonstrates that immersive storytelling through the Metaverse can reconnect modern societies with ancient Eurasian linkages, leveraging digital channels to promote tourism and sustainable development. The research employs a multi-disciplinary method, aligning digital revitalization plans around the Metaverse to enhance the intercultural legacy of architectural sites, motifs, cuisine, beliefs, and artistic traditions diffused along historic Silk Roads. By integrating advanced technologies with UNESCO World Heritage Sites, this approach aims to mitigate issues like site deterioration and uneven access while fostering global cultural engagement.
