Summary

Regulatory ecosystem services, particularly those provided by forest ecosystems, dominate the ecological product value (EPV) in South China Karst nature reserves, with high-value zones concentrated in core and buffer areas. The study reveals a heterogeneous spatial distribution of EPV, where high and low-value grids coexist, and proposes a 'preservation, transformation, and appreciation' model to realize EPV. Key drivers for eco-industry formation include human resources, ecology, industry, policy, market, and economy, with grey correlation analysis identifying their relative importance. Land-use planning and regulation can leverage internal and external factors to promote sustainable development of the eco-industry in these vulnerable karst ecosystems.
