Summary

A new discovery of six previously unknown spider species within the Phrurolithidae family has been documented from Fanjing Mountain Nature Reserve, Guizhou, China. These species—Otacilia microstoma, O. songi, O. subliupan, Phrurolithus anticus, P. fanjingshan, and P. zhouyun—were identified through morphological analysis, including detailed photographs, line drawings, and descriptions. The study also clarifies the taxonomic assignment of these species by comparing them to established type species in the genera Otacilia and Phrurolithus. This research contributes to the understanding of spider diversity in Fanjing Mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its unique biodiversity.
