Summary
A rare archaeological intervention within the walled historic center of Cáceres, Spain, has shed light on the city's layered past. The 2015 excavation at Calle Adarve del Cristo nº 10 uncovered distinct chronological phases, offering a unique glimpse into Norba Caesarina's evolution. Unlike most studies focused outside the ancient walls, this research analyzed facies and artifacts within the fortified core, revealing critical insights into the city's development. The study employed urgent archaeological methods to document and interpret the findings, providing foundational data for understanding Cáceres' complex history.
