Summary

A comprehensive reassessment of the lichen genus Graphis (Graphidaceae) in Everglades National Park reveals 31 species, including three newly described (G. brittoniae, G. elevata, and G. hinnulea) and eleven previously unreported from North America. The study leverages a recent global key by Lücking et al. to identify and document these taxa, providing detailed descriptions, discussions, and photographs for all 32 species (including G. chlorotica, newly recorded outside the Park). A Florida-specific identification key is also included, addressing gaps in regional lichen taxonomy. The findings expand the known diversity of Graphis in North America while refining taxonomic understanding through meticulous analysis of 482 collections.
