Summary
A quantitative survey of 500 residents in Lenggong Valley, a newly declared UNESCO World Heritage Site, reveals that while some local communities are engaged in entrepreneurship activities, their business survivability is threatened by limited financial resources and support. The study highlights the need for government intervention through innovative programs, awareness campaigns, and education to transition these communities from agriculture-based livelihoods to sustainable entrepreneurship. This preliminary research underscores the importance of deeper examination into local community entrepreneurship in Lenggong Valley as it enters its initial phase of tourism development.
