Summary
A significant peak in atmospheric ozone levels, reaching a power density of 35,000 DU², was observed over Lumbini, Nepal, from late 2010 to late 2011. This finding underscores the importance of long-term analysis in understanding atmospheric dynamics in regions with similar geographical and climatic conditions. The study analyzed data on clearness index (KT), total ozone column (TOC), ultraviolet A (UVA), and ultraviolet B radiation (UVB) over an 11-year period (2008–2018) during Solar Cycle-24, using satellite data from NASA's Ozone Monitoring Instrument (OMI). The research employed continuous wavelet transform (CWT) to examine temporal variations in these parameters, providing insights into their long-term trends and interactions. The study highlights the need for extended monitoring to comprehend atmospheric behavior in highly polluted regions like Lumbini.
