Summary

Historic Cairo faces significant management challenges due to the lack of coordination among multiple responsible authorities. Despite repeated recommendations from UNESCO since 1993, the site suffers from insufficient protection and management measures. This study proposes a comprehensive management plan to address these issues, aiming for sustainable procedures, detailed action plans supported by appropriate laws, and high coordination between various stakeholders. The research employs descriptive and deductive approaches to develop a strategy that aligns with UNESCO's guidelines, ultimately seeking to prevent further damage to the urban fabric and buildings of this globally significant site.
