Summary

Arslantepe Mound, a hidden gem in Malatya, Turkey, holds significant cultural tourism potential that remains largely untapped due to ineffective marketing and inadequate infrastructure. Despite its high appeal, the site has not been fully leveraged as a major tourist destination. A qualitative study involving semi-structured interviews with local tourism professionals revealed 12 main themes, 51 sub-themes, and 97 codes, highlighting gaps in promotion, branding, and support systems. Addressing these issues could transform Arslantepe into a globally recognized cultural heritage site, benefiting both the region's development and the preservation of its historical treasures.
