Summary

Research at Fanjingshan reveals a multi-stage process of tin enrichment and deposition, tracing the magmatic to hydrothermal evolution through tourmaline geochemistry. The study identifies three distinct tourmaline types (Tur-I, Tur-II, Tur-III), each reflecting different stages of Sn metallogenesis: initial compatible behavior in the melt, fluid-exsolution transport under reduced conditions, and oxidation-triggered incorporation into tourmaline. Boron isotope variations further confirm this transition, with δ11B values indicating fluid-rock interaction and magmatic-hydrothermal processes. This work sheds light on the complex mechanisms underlying Sn metallogenesis in peraluminous granites of the Neoproterozoic Jiangnan Orogen.
