Summary
A new species of sweat bee, Augochlora (Augochlora) sp., has been recorded from the Fernando de Noronha Archipelago, a UNESCO World Heritage Site off Brazil's coast. This discovery adds to the known biodiversity of the region and contributes to our understanding of its unique ecosystems. The study also includes redescriptions of two previously documented species, Augochlora (Augochlora) laevipyga and Lasioglossum (Dialictus) atripyga, with the first illustration of male terminalia for the Kirby species. Researchers used recently collected specimens to characterize these bees, providing valuable insights into their morphology and taxonomy.
