Summary

Aeromagnetic data inversions reveal that the center of the Vredefort Dome exhibits a low Curie point depth (CPD), indicating high temperatures consistent with previous findings. This thermal anomaly extends southward, correlating with a multi-ring structure unique to Earth's impact craters. Structural analysis identifies linear faults/fractures trending NNE, NE, EW, and NS, with melt-dyke closures at the center and lineaments extending approximately 7 km deep. The fractal distribution suggests an angled meteorite impact that pushed southward.
