Summary

Museums globally are increasingly leveraging web and social media to enhance engagement, communication, and collaboration with audiences. A study on the Museum of Islamic Art in Cairo revealed that while the museum employs an advanced, innovative technological strategy, visitor satisfaction with its website design is only partial. The research, combining semi-structured interviews with 15 staff members and a survey of 140 participants, identified areas for improvement to better integrate new technologies. These findings offer actionable recommendations for museum managers aiming to optimize digital engagement strategies.
