Summary
A study of silver coins from the Bolgar fortified settlement, dating between the 13th and early 15th centuries, reveals significant numismatic insights. Researchers identified a total of 134 dirhams and fractions, predominantly minted in Bulgarian mints during 1251–1332, with one notable treasure consisting of 46 coins. Stratigraphic analysis suggests the presence of up to three additional small treasures within the excavation site. The study employed metrological analysis to categorize coins by weight groups, providing a detailed chronological and quantitative overview of this period's numismatic material.
