Summary
A groundbreaking approach using 360-degree VR video storytelling significantly enhances user immersion and knowledge retention in preserving intangible cultural heritage, as demonstrated by the Mostar bridge diving project. This study found that combining interactive narratives with virtual reconstructions not only captivates audiences but also effectively educates them about traditional practices, such as bridge diving from the Old Bridge in Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The research employed a user experience evaluation to assess the impact of this method, revealing its potential to serve as a framework for broader intangible heritage preservation efforts.
