Summary

Archaeological analysis reveals the presence of three distinct types of Adriatic wine amphorae—Greco-Italic, Lamboglia 2, and Dressel 6A—in Nea Paphos, Cyprus, dating from the late Hellenistic to early Roman period. These amphorae, characterized by their unique ceramic disk stoppers, were found in small quantities, including at the site of Maloutena. The study, conducted to quantify and classify these imports, highlights their rarity and significance in understanding trade patterns between the Adriatic region and Cyprus during this period.
