Summary
A seismic swarm offshore Lipari Island, possibly linked to the activation of a NE-SW fault, was detected through a dense seismic array deployment. This study marks the first continuous one-month recording on Lipari, revealing transient-like signals influenced by sea wave motion and regional tectonics. Hybrid events near the island's hydrothermal system suggest hot fluid movement along fractures, highlighting complex interactions between pre-existing structures and hydrothermal processes in the Aeolian Islands.
