Summary
Approximately 40% of tourists in the Białowieża Forest region exhibit high or very high demand for sustainable and innovative transport solutions, particularly e-mobility. This study addresses the challenge of improving tourist accessibility in peripheral areas while minimizing environmental impact by developing an intermodal model combining public transport with electric bicycle and car rental. The model was verified using heuristic research methods, including brainstorming, the Delphi method, case studies, and a diagnostic survey involving 421 respondents. The Białowieża Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site renowned for its unique natural values, served as the case study. The findings highlight the potential of e-mobility to enhance tourism development in peripheral regions while promoting sustainable transport solutions.
