Summary

Historic urban centers, particularly vulnerable to climate change, require innovative adaptation strategies that integrate spatial analysis and stakeholder participation. This study introduces a participatory methodology developed under the EU-funded HERIT ADAPT project, which identifies multi-risk areas in historic contexts and co-designs interventions for climate resilience. Applied to Genoa's Historic Centre, the approach combines technological tools with official databases to analyze criticalities and propose replicable solutions. The methodology aims to be objective and generalizable, addressing gaps in research on stakeholder involvement in climate adaptation for heritage sites.
