Summary

Research on Ezekiel manuscripts from Qumran and Masada reveals that the texts closely align with the proto-Masoretic Text (protoMT) in both content and sequence, particularly in chapters 36-39. The study also finds that the Masada text precisely reflects the protoMT, while the epexegetical text Pseudo-Ezekiel, though containing unique idioms and textual additions, follows the MT's sequence. Additionally, the Ezekiel reception in the Revelation of St. John primarily adheres to the masoretical tradition. The analysis concludes that there is no evidence supporting the textual sequence of Papyrus 967 during the BCE period or the 1st century CE. This study employs text-critical and redaction-critical methods to examine these manuscripts, quotations, allusions, and their reception in epexegetical texts.
