Summary

Riga's inner city has undergone significant reurbanization between 2011 and 2021, marked by population growth and the influx of young adults with high socio-economic status. This study analyzed neighborhood-level statistical data on population composition and housing, revealing spatially fragmented reurbanization processes that risk increasing socio-spatial inequalities within the inner city and compared to outer areas. The findings highlight the complex dynamics of post-socialist urban development and its potential consequences for social equity.
