Summary
A successful model for revitalizing urban industrial heritage has emerged from the transformation of Taoxichuan, a traditional ceramics district in Jingdezhen. By leveraging spatial reproduction theory, this study demonstrates how functional re-engineering, architectural preservation, and integration of cultural industries—supported by online virtual technology—can convert historic industrial sites into dynamic spaces for tourism, culture, and digital engagement. The approach offers a sustainable framework for old industrial cities, blending heritage conservation with modern economic and social functions, setting a precedent for global urban planning.
