Summary

A comprehensive analysis of the Putorana Plateau reveals no evidence of biotic crisis despite its complex volcanic history. The study, focusing on the Middle Siberian Trappan Plateau, examines its paleoecological environments, which span from the Severodvinian (Vishkilian) Age to the Triassic period. The research correlates sedimentary units with global stratigraphic markers, such as the Goudikeng Formation in China, and identifies distinct ecological zones, including the Quadrocladus pachyphyllus ... Echinolimnadia mattoxi Zone and the Elatocladus linearis ... Cornia vosini Ecozone. These findings challenge the assumption of a biotic crisis during this period, providing new insights into the resilience of ecosystems during significant volcanic events.
