Summary

Research on Lycium barbarum L., a medicinal shrub not native to Uzbekistan, reveals optimal seed germination at 20°C with a rate of 74±0.12%. The study, conducted in Samarkand, identified ten stages and four periods in the plant's ontogenesis, with a pre-reproductive phase lasting 1-2 years and a reproductive period spanning 2-3 years from the start of the growing season. Morphological analysis of fruits showed that they reach maturity by May, measuring approximately 2.18±0.09 cm in length and 1.14±0.11 cm in width. This study provides critical insights into the growth and development of L. barbarum under Samarkand's environmental conditions, contributing to its potential cultivation and medicinal use in Uzbekistan.
