Summary
A pioneering application of oblique photogrammetry has successfully generated a detailed 3D city model for Konya, Turkey, marking the first such effort in the country. This method, leveraging aerial imagery, achieved four levels of detail (LoD), with LoD4 specifically used to texture the interiors of five historically significant buildings: Mevlana Museum, Selimiye Mosque, Şerafettin Mosque, Aziziye Mosque, and İnce Minareli Madrasa. The study highlights the potential of 3D city modeling in urban planning, management, and representation, contributing to advancements in photogrammetry technology. This approach offers a scalable solution for preserving and analyzing architectural heritage within complex urban landscapes.
