Contemporary architecture in Gdynia's city center reflects a contextualist approach, blending three distinct tendencies—regionalism, semiotics, and technologizing—that reference local modernist traditions while incorporating postmodern elements. These intertwined tendencies create a coherent architectural whole that strengthens the city's identity and continuity. However, the study also highlights limitations in the application of Western European modernist patterns, suggesting a need for deeper scrutiny to avoid naive repetition.
