Summary

Robinia pseudoacacia expansion on Mount Tai significantly alters soil particle size distribution (PSD), increasing clay and silt content while reducing sand, thereby lowering soil heterogeneity. Using fractal theory, the study found that R. pseudoacacia growth decreases capacity dimension, entropy dimension, and correlation dimension but expands the PSD range and density. These changes suggest that clonal spread of R. pseudoacacia homogenizes soil structure, with implications for ecosystem restoration and soil quality management in artificial afforestation settings.
