Summary
Research on the Summer Palace identifies seven distinct spatial-temporal behavior patterns among tourists. These patterns are influenced primarily by temporal factors and exhibit space-time tension, where tourists' stay time decreases as exit constraints increase. The study employs a combination approach integrating quantitative and qualitative methods based on time geography concepts to analyze these behaviors. Findings reveal that understanding tourist activities can enhance attraction management, product renewal, and marketing strategies, ultimately improving visitor experiences. This work provides a scientific foundation for upgrading facilities within the Summer Palace.
