Erkundung von Potenzialen und Strategien der Innenentwicklung und Nachverdichtung am Beispiel der Stadt Krems

A study on the Wachau Cultural Landscape, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and nature conservation area, identifies significant potential for sustainable urban development through infill development and redevelopment strategies in the city of Krems. By analyzing existing urban structures and infrastructure, the research demonstrates that these methods can reduce land consumption and associated costs while adhering to spatial planning constraints. The study highlights key areas within Krems where such approaches are feasible, providing a practical model for area-compatible redevelopment in well-equipped neighborhoods.
