Seven university architectural complexes, recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites, serve as dual representatives of their nations' cultural heritage and educational institutions. These sites, including the Residence of Bukovinian and Dalmatian Metropolitans (Chernivtsi National University), embody a unique blend of historical significance and contemporary relevance, fostering global education, science, and culture. The study analyzes these universities' role in UNESCO's list using objective and historical methods, highlighting their impact on international heritage preservation and development. As of February 2023, the UNESCO World Heritage List included 1157 cultural, natural, or mixed sites, with these university complexes standing out for their dual function as both educational institutions and global heritage symbols.
