Summary
Cooperation in the tourism sector has proven to be a pivotal strategy for restoring and strengthening relations between Thailand and Cambodia following the resolution of their long-standing dispute over the Temple of Preah Vihear. This study highlights that post-conflict diplomatic efforts, facilitated by ASEAN mechanisms, have successfully transitioned into collaborative initiatives such as the implementation of a single visa policy and D3 tourism student exchange programs. These measures not only addressed historical tensions but also laid a foundation for enhanced bilateral relationships, demonstrating the significant role tourism can play in fostering peace and economic ties between neighboring nations.
