Summary
A novel approach combining cultural computing and artificial intelligence (AI) has been developed to preserve, restore, and digitally experience the rich heritage of Ajanta Caves, a UNESCO World Heritage Site renowned for its Buddhist religious art. The study successfully created a 3D reconstructed model of Cave 1 and restored a damaged image of Bodhisattva Padmapani, demonstrating the potential of these technologies in safeguarding cultural heritage.
