Summary
A novel approach to evaluating community engagement in heritage management reveals that transparency, bottom-up participation, and alignment with residents' interests significantly influence willingness to engage and support. This study introduces a multivariate evaluation model using online questionnaires and interviews to assess Digital Community Engagement (DCE) at Kulangsu. The findings highlight the importance of multi-disciplinary, value-based methods in enhancing community involvement and sustainability.
