Summary
Recent archaeological research at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Agrigento, specifically within the Hellenistic-Roman Quarter of the Valle dei Templi Park, has uncovered a new residential structure, Casa III M. This discovery significantly expands our understanding of the evolution and characteristics of habitation in this area from the Hellenistic to the Roman Imperial period. The study, conducted by the University of Bologna, sheds light on the spatial organization and architectural features of domestic spaces during these historical phases, contributing valuable insights into the urban development and cultural continuity of ancient Akragas/Agrigentum.
