Architectural heritage in the city of Hebron and the rehabilitation of the historical centre

Hebron/Al-Khalil Old Town's architectural heritage, particularly Souq al-wakala, showcases unique regional and historical characteristics that hold significant cultural value in Palestine. A proposed rehabilitation project aims to repurpose the souq into a multifunctional space, including a guest house for the Hebron Rehabilitation Centre (HRC), while adhering to international standards for sustainable urban rehabilitation. The study emphasizes the need to integrate essential services and maintain historical authenticity, ensuring the preservation of this culturally rich site.
